Let The Celebration Begin!

Tomorrow is my birthday, the big 4-O and since I can't avoid it, I'm going to celebrate all I can.

My celebration plans include spending much of the day in bed watching my favorite old sit-coms on TV, letting my husband make dinner (husband + dinner = take out)and sharing the raspberry cream cheese pie that I bought from my daughter's class fundraiser in place of a cake. I'll celebrate with my family on Thanksgiving.

You may also want to stop by the White Roses in Bloom blog. I posted an entry there on why I'm not depressed over turning 40.

My celebration also includes checking my blog frequently to reply to any comments you might leave and, after tomorrow, to draw a winner for my Orchard Hill gift basket. To enter, all you need to do is to leave a comment on my blog. Please be sure to include your email address in case you win.

I can't wait to hear from you all. Let the celebration begin!

Happy Fortieth, Kara! I hope you have a wonderful birthday. Does your hubby get you good take-out or McDonalds take-out? My apologies to those of you who think McDonald take-out is good.

Hi Everyone,
Thanks for coming. Enjoy the party.

I think God is laughing at me today because I said I wasn't bothered by turning 40. I was walking to work, turned slightly to see if it was clear to cross the street and pulled something in my hip. Ouch! Old age is setting in.

Happy Birthday Kara! I wish your every wish comes true.

Sorry about the hip, though. Ouch! You'll probably need an extra slice of something good to help heal that up. :)

Sending huge birthday hugs!

Well, I'm going to call you tomorrow, but thought I'd leave a note for you here, too. I can't believe this is the year we turn 40. Remember college? Yikes.

Love you.

Thank you everyone for your good wishes. If I were inclined to be depressed about this birthday, I'd be cheered up by now.

Chris, yes I do remember college. Actually I was in Eau Claire last week. The streets are all different and the mall area has taken over approximately half the city. Not like the "old days." :)

Hi Kara!

Remember...40 is just a number and a very special one in the Bible so celebrate to your heart's desire.

Happy Thanksgiving to you all too!

Hmmm....turning 40...pulling a muscle...sounds like God gave you a great detail to add to a story line!

Hope your day is terrific.
